ECTs are supported in this programme through:
The provider-led programme is fully-funded for the following establishments:
The DfE will also pay funding directly to schools for the time ECTs and mentors need to attend training sessions and mentoring sessions. More information about the amount of funding available can be found here on DfE website.
Schools backfill payments to cover 36 hours of mentor time off timetable for training per mentor, over 2 years. Year 1 and year 2 refer respectively to the first year and second year of induction for a mentor.
As outlined in the statutory induction guidance, all ECTs must be registered with an Appropriate Body in order to formally commence their Induction period. Appropriate Bodies ensure that ECTs are receiving their entitlements, and Induction Tutors are expected to report on ECT progress at the end of each term throughout the two-year Induction period.
There is an at-cost fee for this service - more information about our service and how to register can be found here.
